Wu Tang Forever

The Wu Tang Clan, represented by The Rza, Gza, Inspectah Deck, Ghostface Killa, Raekwon, U-God, Mista Killa, the late Ol’ D-B, and Method Man is the best hip hop group to ever been assembled.  The raw talent that these hip hop artist brought to the table was unimaginable at the time.  Since 1992, the Wu Tang Clan has produced some of the all time greatest hip hop albums.   All their albums are lyrical masterpieces, with each one telling a story about the struggles and pain in the hood, aka “Slums of Shaolin.”

In 1993, The Wu Tang Clan dropped the critically acclaimed “Enter the Wu Tang (36 Chambers).”  The raw lyrics and undeniable talent that these guys brought to the table was unbelievable.  The success of Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers established the group as a creative and influential force in early 1990s hip hop, allowing Ol' Dirty Bastard, GZA, RZA, Raekwon, Method Man, and Ghostface Killah to negotiate solo contracts.

Each member of the WU had very successful albums.  They all showed that they could make it on their own.  The lyrics were original and the beats were slammin’.  Each member had their own original favor that they brought to their album, which gave them even more street cred.

Then, finally in 1997 The Wu got back together to drop what is known today and back in the day as one of the best hip hop albums of all time.  Wu Tang Forever was released on June 3, 1997 as a double album with 27 total tracks.  The Wu-Tang Clan took advantage of the double-disc format, allowing each of the 9 members with a significant number of appearances, including three solo tracks. The album debuted at #1 in the U.S. with 650,000 copies sold in its first week and  #1 in the UK and Canada as well.
